With winter’s long embrace finally over and the heat of summer riding just around the corner, I’m very excited to say that KETL Mountain Apparel’s Spring/Summer 2018 line has arrived. In addition to new colorways and some material updates, we have four entirely new products focusing on comfort in hot temperatures: a lightweight overshort, a long sleeve SPF 50+ jersey, a Merino blend jersey, and a new liner short.
Designed to combat the type of stifling midsummer heat that keeps most shorts stuck to your legs, the lightweight overshort is crafted using ultra-lightweight Cordura® mini-ripstop with added stretch for mobility. Thoughtful features like an adjustable waist closure, zipper-free gusseted fly, laser-cut integrated belt loops, and a zippered rear pocket make for an overshort that’s comfortable stylish. Available in women’s XS–XL and men’s S–XXL.
This isn’t your typical long sleeve mountain bike jersey. Constructed using ultra-light and breathable Italian fabric, it provides all-day protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays without causing you to overheat. Like all of our jerseys, it was designed with a fitted but not too tight cut, and plenty of coverage in the rear without bunching up in the front. Available in women’s XS–XL and men’s S–XXL.
Wool has a come a long way since the thick, itchy sweaters you remember as a kid. Our Merino blend jersey combines soft Merino wool for next-to-skin comfort with durable polyester for the ideal mix of wicking abilities, breathability, and longevity — not to mention odor reduction. Wear it over and over again and watch your itchy, uncomfortable memories become distant. Available in women’s XS–XL and men’s S–XXL.
A good liner short during the summer heat is crucial. Ours uses lightweight, breathable Italian fabric and is designed to be worn under an overshort. It offers just the right amount of compression without being too constricting and features a soft, comfortable waistband that moves with you. Available in women’s XS–XL and men’s S–XXL.
Updated Color Palette
In addition to those four entirely new pieces, we’ve also updated the colorways on all of our favorites from last season. With a desert-inspired color palette of teal, clay, mustard, and sage, this year’s line looks as good as its high-quality technical fabrics perform — flawlessly in all conditions.
KETL Mountain Apparel’s entire Spring/Summer 2018 line is available now at your local bike shop.
