KETL Treasure Hunt Recap: Edition 4 (Nevada Road Trip Edition)

We did not expect this one to go the way it did.

Edition 4 was set up to be wide open. 15 jars scattered across a massive Nevada triangle from Reno to Vegas to Ely and back. Big distances, empty roads, plenty of room for different crews to carve out their own path. Each jar had $100 cash and a $100 KETL gift card, $3,000 total spread across the state.

But one group of friends had other plans.

One of the guys, Ben, had flown out to Colorado for the last hunt and got completely skunked. Went home with nothing but miles on the legs and a chip on his shoulder. This time around, he showed up ready to settle that.

From the jump, he committed. While most people picked off a jar or two and called it, Ben just kept going. Long drives, late nights, backroads that don’t show up on most maps. No hesitation, no second guessing, just steady progress from one set of coordinates to the next. He ended up grabbing the majority of the jars himself, while his friends fanned out and locked down the rest.

They hunted straight through the night. By Sunday morning, they had all 15 jars. Every single one.

That’s the game sometimes. You can plan for chaos, spread things out, make it as unpredictable as possible and still get a crew that decides they’re not stopping until it’s done.

Nevada delivered. And this time, Ben got his redemption.
