Edition 5 is officially in the books, and once again, you animals moved way faster than we thought you would. We hid 13 jars around Phoenix in remote, desolate, and uncommon spots with a total of $6,200 in cash and KETL gift cards up for grabs. Jars 1 through 10 each held $100 cash and a $100 KETL gift card, while jars 11 through 13 stepped things up with $400 cash and a $1,000 KETL gift card each. And somehow, all 13 were found within 48 hours.
This one was a little different. We wanted to start pushing these hunts away from simple coordinate chasing and more toward what we think a real treasure hunt should feel like. So for three of the jars, there were no coordinates inside at all. The only way to find them was by studying the visual clues in the video, piecing things together, and trusting your gut. That added a whole new layer to the hunt, and clearly you all were still more than ready for it.
That is exactly why Edition 6 is going to be a different beast. California is next, and we're making it much harder. No coordinates in any of the jars. None. Just visual clues. If you want to find treasure, you’re going to have to actually hunt for it. Slow down, pay attention, study the footage, and think. The days of getting handed the next location are over.
Arizona proved that even when we make these things harder, you lunatics still find a way to clean them out fast. So now it’s my turn to push back. Edition 6 in California is going to reward the sharpest eyes, the best instincts, and the people willing to work for it. Get ready.
