Terra Travel Towel

These towels are great! They roll up nicely and are handy for backpacking or keeping in the vehicle for those time when you need a towel.

I bought a towel, and even though I can’t keep the stink of mildew off it, I bought another. For some reason, the synthetic material is impossible to wash the odor out. I’ve tried all sorts of de-funking detergents, no luck. Once cleaned then re-wetted, the towels still stink. None of my other many Ketl clothes items have this problem, and I can sweat in them like I am in hellfire, without a lingering stink. I’d give every other of my 15 Ketl clothes items a solid 5 stars. But the towels…there’s something about them. I cannot clean out the stench. I love my Ketl towels like Linus loves his blanket, but cannot recommend them to anyone due to the stench factor.

My husband has ordered A LOT of Ketl shirts, hoodies, pants, and two towels that he loves… but it’s an absolute battle to get the stink out of them. I’ve bought two kinds of enzyme detergents which are helpful, but the stink comes back. He doesn’t put them into his gym bag. We hang them to dry immediately when they’re washed… and every synthetic workout shirt/shorts/socks come out smelling fine except this towel. If someone knows how to fix this, please tell me. Ugh!!!

I bought this mainly for packability and as a multi-use towel/last-resort blanket to put in my carryon when flying. I tried it out as a towel and it works admirably. Thankfully haven’t had to try it as a blanket, but it’s soft and opaque enough that it seems like it should work there too. If Ketl made one of these but twice the size and marketed it as a travel blanket I’d definitely consider it.

I got a long sleeve and shorts. Great buy.
