Breathable merino warmth for wherever you roam.

Made with a merino thermal grid knit fabric, the RLT (Road Less Traveled) Hoodie delivers the perfect mix of warmth, breathability, and softness while staying light enough to layer under a shell. The anti-odor merino fabric keeps your B.O. at bay and allows you to wear this layer for multi-day missions stink free (your crew will thank us). It is the layer you grab first whether you are headed out for dawn patrol, layering for a summit approach, a crisp fall hike, or just brewing coffee at camp.

Designed for high-output activities, the fabric has incredible breathability and stretch so it moves with you, thumbholes keep your sleeves in place, and the reinforced ripstop elbows add durability where you need it most. Zippered chest and side pockets keep your essentials secure whether you are on the trail or on the road.

Part of our premium Venture Far Series, the RLT Hoodie is a versatile midlayer built for performance while being comfortable wherever your next mission takes you.

Best Grid Hoodie I've Found Yet

Want a warmer but breathable midlayer for skiing, so grid fleece makes sense, but most aren't that warm or are too baggy to fit well under a shell. This seems thicker and is warmer than others I've tried. Pockets are great and hood fits snug to face, yet super stretchy to bend with all movements.

Super Soft & Comfy

Super soft and comfy. Great as a layering piece on cold days or perfect by itself on more mild days with chilly mornings. Perfectly placed and sized pockets, zippers seem sturdy...overall super happy with this one.

Craig

Comfort + Smart Design

A combination of comfort, warmth and smart design. Awesome pockets, fit and fabric. Great for the outdoors and travel as temperatures outside and in the plane can greatly vary.

My new favorite outdoor hoodie!

KETL continues to impress me and this hoodie is no exception. The material is very soft on the skin, the waffle pattern in the stitching serves to hold in the warmth. And my favorite thing about this hoodie is the actual HOOD! It's one of the best hoods. It fits perfectly to keep the head warm without any obstruction to vision. I'm going to wear this thing out for sure.

Why did you buy this? : I wanted another mid-layer top that wasn't blue. My other two trusty midlayers are blue and look the same. I don't want people thinking I don't shower.

Goated layer

I am a big fan of this style of hoodie. I can rock it in town when I am running errands. I can pull up to happy hour and look socially acceptable. I can also wear it on big ski tours and other adventures and be practically warm.

Ketl's take on this midlayer is pretty sweet. There are some small features that make a big difference in durability based on my first two weeks with it. I wore it for ski touring around the Grand Tetons and noticed that there was a glasses hook on the chest. Perfect for some of the times I needed to pop off my eye protection for a hot second and snap a photo. There is also some sort of reinforced material on the elbows. We took some weird lines through some trees and I got intimate with a couple. No issues there.

As far as temperature range, it is right at home in a typical layering system. I can throw a puffy over it and be comfortable down to about 25ºF when around town (maybe colder if the HH is dope...). I was able to rock it by itself ski touring around 20-25ºF in trees where wind wasn't a problem. For skiing in a resort, I was able to put a puffy and hardshell on over it and not hate life on a chair lift down to about a windchill of -5ºF.

I like the black color, but I will be snagging an additional non-blue color if they ever come out with other options.

This is one of the most comfortable hoodies if not THE most comfortable hoodie I’ve ever owned

This is one of the most comfortable hoodies if not THE most comfortable hoodie I’ve ever owned. The fact that it zips up is even better for me. I wear it to work or if I’m leaving the house casually and would definitely recommend this

Nice hoodie!

Very comfortable zip up hoodie! Great styling and overall great fit. My only concern is that I’ve had it for about two weeks now, and I’m already starting to see a little bit of pilling on the sleeves.

The fit is excellent, and it is a great light weight jacket. The fabric has started pilling on the sleeves, likely because I wear this almost everyday.

Best Hoodie I’ve Purchased

Absolutely love this hoodie. Extremely comfortable and warm, without being bulky. I’d love to see additional colors eventually. I highly recommend this product. I’m a little over 5’10”, 230 lbs, and I bought an XXL. Fits great, maybe a tad long but still looks sharp!

RLT MERINO HOODIE rocks!

RLT MERINO HOODIE so far has been great. Light and stretchy and allowing for great layering warmth. I did a 15° hike with wool base, RLT Hoodie and a puffer coat and ditched the coat in 5 minutes.
Good at 40° with just a T shirt. I’m 5’9 and 195lbs with a more muscular build and originally got a Large. Fit was OK but was quite long, like past my butt long. KETL handled the exchange for a Medium and it’s way better. I want it more snug and fitted so I can run and MTB with it. For reference I’m a large in every other KETL top.

RLT Hoodie Use Case and Travel staples.

RLT Hoodie use case: Super soft and stretchy is no fib. It fits great and looks good. Perfect for travel, the chilly morning load up and very functional as a mid layer. I can’t write for how warm it was as a mid (Mammoth had spring temps) but it certainly regulated heat well. However, I probably won’t use it as a mid for skiing again. I like it too much to let it get beat up. The pockets, hood, thumb holes and even the shades loop add some really nice tech value. This thing is legit.

Tomfoolery Pants: A travel pant must have. High end fabric that is stretchy and comfortable. These things are so buttery to the touch it’s a shame not to free-ball it. Perfect for a roadie to your next destination. A go to everything pant no doubt.

Tech Tee: This could be my new favorite. Light and comfortable. Kinda magic. Even makes you look more fit. Ha. I’m old school surf brand guy so a clean prominent logo on a tee is my jam. Without question, add it to the kit.
