Edition #6: The Los Angeles Wildlands
There are very few things left that feel truly adventurous & truly spontaneous.
The KETL Mtn. Treasure Hunt is one of those rare things.
For Edition 6, we’ve hidden 10 jars across the Greater Los Angeles area, with $6,000 worth of cash & KETL gift cards up for grabs.
This edition has a completely new format.
No coordinates. No dropped pins. No exact locations.
The only way to figure out where these jars are hidden is to watch the video closely. Pay attention to the clues, overthink everything, question your life choices and use what you see to figure out where to go.
Each jar contains a $500 KETL gift card and $100 cash.
Watch the clues. Trust your gut. Go find these things.
Edition #6: Treasure Jar Status & Locations...
Jar 1 - Edition 6 - Status: **FOUND**
There are no coordinates for this jar. This is real treasure hunting, not a dropped pin and a casual stroll.
Watch and listen to the video closely, study the visual clues and do your best to navigate to the location shown. You may need multiple attempts, a lot of map staring and an unhealthy amount of overthinking.
Bring way more water and food than you think you’ll need. Wear pants and long sleeves. Use offline maps. Expect little to no cell service. Do not go alone, set a firm turn-back time, and be smart with daylight, weather, food and water.
If your navigation is perfect, this could theoretically take around 4–10 hours total. But it is treasure hunting, so estimates are mostly useless.
Good luck & have fun.
Jar 2 - Edition 6- Status: Not Yet Found
There are no coordinates for this jar. This is real treasure hunting, not a dropped pin and a casual stroll.
Watch and listen to the video closely, study the visual clues and do your best to navigate to the location shown. You may need multiple attempts, a lot of map staring and an unhealthy amount of overthinking.
This is the hardest jar in Edition 6 and should be treated like a serious backcountry mission. Bring overnight gear, way more water and food than you think you’ll need, water filtration, pants, long sleeves, offline maps and multiple forms of navigation. Expect absolutely no cell service. Do not go alone, set a firm turn-back time, and be extremely smart with daylight, weather, food and water.
If your navigation is perfect, this could theoretically take around 15–30 hours total. But it is treasure hunting, so estimates are mostly useless.
Good luck, have fun and don’t be an idiot.

This jar is out there so you've got a ton of options to try and pull this off. Maybe that means an overnight camping trip. Maybe it means a ferry. Maybe it means multiple miles of sea kayaking. Maybe it means a private boat. Maybe it means borrowing a helicopter from Elon Musk. Either way, you better be a good swimmer.
Bring way more water and food than you think you’ll need. Use offline maps. Expect little to no cell service. Pay close attention to boat schedules, weather, ocean conditions, landing logistics and daylight. Do not go alone, set a firm turn-back time, and be smart with the fact that being on an island makes every bad decision harder to undo.
If your navigation is perfect, this could theoretically be done in a long day or as an overnight mission, depending on your approach. But it is treasure hunting, so estimates are mostly useless.
Good luck & have fun.

This jar requires some comfort on rock. Expect scrambling, awkward movement, tight spaces and sections where basic climbing judgment matters. If you are scared of heights, uncomfortable using your hands, or deeply claustrophobic, this may not be your jar.
Bring way more water and food than you think you’ll need. Wear pants and long sleeves. Use offline maps. Expect little to no cell service. Do not go alone, set a firm turn-back time, and be smart with daylight, weather, food and water.
Oh and absolutely do not forget your headlamp.
If your navigation is perfect, this could theoretically take around 6–10 hours total. But it is treasure hunting, so estimates are mostly useless.
Good luck & have fun.

This jar is tucked deep enough into off-highway country that a proper four-wheel-drive vehicle will be necessary for most people. A dirt bike would work. A mountain bike could work if you are feeling spicy. And technically, you could do it on foot if you are one hell of a running man.
Bring way more water and food than you think you’ll need. Use offline maps. Expect little to no cell service. How to, Clues, Tips & Tricks...
This page & the YouTube videos on it have all the information you are getting for any of these edition treasure hunts. Watch & read with focus like Bruce Lee, then go ask Jack Sparrow for help. But seriously, be careful, be a smart outdoorsman, bring way more water / food than you think you need, have a satellite SOS device, wear pants / long sleeves, use offline maps etc.
If the jar you're after has coordinates given, use them to plan your route, use the video for the visual clue to know exactly where to find the jar when you arrive at those coordinates. If the jar you're after does not have coordinates, put your big boy pants on. This page will update in real time noting when each jar has been found. If it doesn't say **FOUND** then that jar is still up for grabs.
What if I get there & there is no treasure jar?
The status of each jar will be updated live on this page, just above.
Each jar will either show:
Status: Not Yet Found
Or it will show:
Status: **FOUND**
There could of course be the rare case where someone finds it & has yet to reach out and let us know. There is an AirTag in all of the jars to help us know when it is found + we can see when the gift card gets redeemed. Each jar has a letter inside instructing the finder to let us know it's found. Historically, everyone has told us right away with a proud smile on their face. But of course you could be in the wrong spot or a bear might have eaten the jar etc. Hunting for treasure is a gamble and you may not find anything but you will still have a fun day outside regardless and that's the point :)
How can I get more info?
Watch the full length YouTube videos on this page which is also on the KETL Mtn. YouTube Channel. That video has all the details you need and will get along with all the information being on this webpage - https://ketlmtn.com/treasure
This is the kind of thing where your ability to read, watch, listen and look for and learn from details really matters.
