Rugged, yet comfortable.

We built the Shenanigan Pants to be the most rugged everyday pant in your lineup, tough enough for trail missions yet comfortable enough for everything else you get into. The magic is in the unique nylon twill fabric that looks and feels like a softer, stretchier version of denim without the swooshy noise of typical outdoor pants. It is lightweight, durable, and dries quickly when the weather goes sideways.

A gusseted construction gives you unrestricted movement on steep trails or airport sprints, while the grippy waistband and internal G hook belt keep everything securely in place. Mesh lined pockets manage heat and moisture, and the combination of front, rear, and side zip pockets gives you more than enough storage for daily carry, travel essentials, and whatever small items you usually lose.

From trail days to workdays to the kind of days that blur the line between the two, the Shenanigan Pants deliver dependable comfort, clean style, and real performance. They are built to take a beating and keep coming back for more.

Purchased for Hiking/Backpacking

I previously purchased a pair of the Tomfoolery pants for traveling but was looking for a pair to wear when I'm backpacking or hiking. I bought these in May and finally took them out to do some hiking last month. I love the fit and how they are a little more breathable material than the Tomfoolery pants which makes them better for hiking and being outside. I love the built in belt and can definitely see myself taking these for when I travel. These are a great addition to my other pants from ketl mtn...now I'm thinking I might get a pair of the straight fit too.

Awesome pants

I love the thought and attention to detail this company puts into their products. The Shenanigan pants are no exception, the type of material used, the weight/thickness, the cut, the unique inside strip that keeps the pants from running down, the built in belt. Looks like they have just upgraded these pants with something to hold the excess belt that may hang down. Way to listen to your customer Ketl Mtn. Can't wait to pick up the other 2 colors. Keep up the good work!

Incredibly versatile!

Incredibly versatile pair of pants, it can do just about anything I threw at it on a recent family vacation to Alaska, yet I found myself thinking I could wear them year round no matter where or what the weather, light enough to wear solo or layer in colder conditions. I'm a HUGE fan of these pants!!

I love these pants

I love these pants. I had been looking for a good pair of outdoor pants for hicking and camping that were comfortable, tough, not hot, and look good. These pants check all those boxes. They are light weight, somewhat water resistant, fast drying, and surprisingly stretchy. They are also very durable so far. I snagged one of my pant legs pretty hard on a bed spring and was sure it was going to be a bad rip but the rip stop fabric held up super well and I only had a small hole. Other pants I have had have ripped much worse with much less.
They also dry quickly which is a huge plus when camping in hot or wet conditions. As much as I love these pants I have a couple of things I wish were different. First and most importantly I did not realize they had no belt loops when I ordered my first pair. I was shocked to be honest. In my opinion it is a major mistake not to have belt loops on any kind of outdoor pants. I like the built in "belt" but I can't hang a sheath from it. Especially when camping having a belt knife, multi tool, or flashlight is a must. I had belt loops added to 2 of mine for camping. I seriously hope they add belt loops in the future. The other complaint is the snap on the first two pairs was pretty weak and would pop open sometimes which is annoying. The third pair I got had a much stiffer snap so maybe I got a pair that had a faulty snap. My last critique is purely about preference. I wish they had a classic horizontal side pocket on the thigh instead of the vertical side pocket. I find a regular side pocket more useful and comfortable but that is just my opinion. I really like the rest of the pockets. Even with the items I hope they change I still recommend this pants and will most likely buy more. I currently have 3 pair.
I am 6'1" around 210lbs. And I have the 32" waist and 34" long in Slim. The slim are definitely more fitted but I like more fitted pants. They are still plenty flexible for hicking. I wear these pants casually as well and they look great. If they add belt loops and change the side pocket they would be perfect in my opinion. As they stand they are still my favorite outdoor pants at this point.

Comfy, perfect pockets, love the zipper over wallet. Just 100% perfect.

Perfect pants!

Perfect pants! I am 6'2" 180lbs, with 32" waist and a bit larger butt and thighs. I got the 32" waist with the 34" inseam. I initially tried the slim fit, but needed to exchange them for the straight fit because they looked painted on. The stretch of the pants is great and they have been perfect for hiking/climbing/camping in the the hot Utah summer. These things are incredible, after putting them on I immediately ordered a second pair in grey.

Awesome pants

Awesome pants. I really like the quality of the fabric and top notch constriction.

I do wish there was a phone pocket on both the left and sides. Also, I wish the waist had a little more stretch like the Vent pants.

Need another pair!

Love, love, love these pants. I've worn them hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking (this morning). The Straight Fit is perfect for me as I don't like anything slim fitting. Looking forward to wearing them on a long upcoming flight to Europe.

Easily my favorite pants, by far.

Never thought I’d love a pair of pants as much as I do these! Took them camping and kayaking in VT recently and was extremely pleased with how these performed. The water would bead right off and even when they did get wet, they dried extremely fast and kept me going. The pockets and loops were very ideal for carrying my shades, keys, multitool and flashlight without issue. Thank you Ketl Mtn, y’all knocked this one out of the park!

Very comportable But few concerns.

Very comportable,
Internal G hook belt need some practice to use. I had difficulty to adjust the belt initially.
Also Grippy waste band seems work, but not feels comfortable when it touchs directly on the skin.

Quality material and great design

Quality material and great design. The slims are truly slim so I had to return them for the straight fit. Return process was seamless which encourages me to buy from KETL again. The 32 inch waist is a tad on the small side.

Love these pants

Love these pants. The stretch is excellent, the built-in adjustable belt is a great feature, and the fit through the thighs is spot on—not too snug, not baggy.

They’re tough enough for hiking, comfortable enough for all-day wear, and even passed the trampoline test chasing kids around the backyard. Great combination of durability, mobility, and comfort.

Love these pants but just a couple minor things

I really want to give them 5 stars because the fit and comfort is perfect. I also feel the durability is solid. I have two issues with the most annoying being the buckle/clasp for the waist band. It is such a pain in the ass to attach. It holds really well so that's a plus. 2nd issue being the zipper pocket has kind of a weird placement that is enough of a minor annoyance that I think about it whenever I've used it. Otherwise I love the fit, look and quality. I'd likely buy them again.
