The SierraLoft Insulated Vest takes everything we love about the SierraLoft Jacket and strips it down to an incredibly useful layer for the times you want extra warmth without committing to a full jacket.
The 60gsm recycled synthetic insulation keeps your core warm while the sleeveless design leaves your arms completely free to move and helps prevent overheating when you’re active. Throw it over a long sleeve or hoodie on a chilly morning, layer it under a shell when the weather gets worse, or keep it packed in your bag as an easy source of extra warmth while traveling.
Like the SierraLoft Jacket, the warmth-to-packability ratio is what really makes it useful. The entire vest compresses into its own front pocket, taking up surprisingly little room for the amount of warmth it provides. Two zipper hand pockets and a chest zipper pocket keep your phone, wallet, and other essentials secure, while the windproof shell and PFAS-free DWR help take the edge off cold wind and light moisture.
It’s the kind of layer that earns a permanent spot in your closet because there are so many days when a shirt isn’t quite enough, but a full puffy feels like too much.

Warm and light. Excellent quality as all ketl apparel is. I own 2pr shorts, 4 pants, 1 jacket, 4 shirts and the big puffy coat. Now this vest. Love almost everything about all.
Great warmth for not being thick. A tad long but I’m also not a tall guy.
I already had the SierraLoft jacket, and the vest is well worth adding. It feels like I’m barely wearing anything, but it keeps my core warm. My arms are free to move, it’s super comfy, and it packs down small.

The two main things I personally look for in a product I choose are weight and volume vs. effectiveness. The vest is super lite and packs down to a very small profile. I have not been able to test its warmth and I plan to wear it with a merino t-shirt, I have ordered the KETL merino hoodie, the vest if needed and a raincoat on top if needed. This rig will cover just about any weather and I think temps down to freezing. The sizing is pretty exact. I normally take an XL and I ordered an XL and frankly it really fits me like most large sizes. Arturo
