Creating the perfect pair of mountain bike pants is tricky. They need to be exceptionally durable, actually comfortable to pedal in for hours, and have all the right pockets and trim details. We spent years getting those things right with the Skid Mark Pro Pants.
The proprietary 4-way stretch fabric we developed with Cordura® is near-indestructible, yet surprisingly thin, light and breathable. It’s meant to feel barely there while pedaling. Even when wet, it stays stretchy, holds its shape and doesn’t sag out.
The fit is purpose-built for being on the bike. Enough room and stretch for knee pads, with tapered legs and fitted ankle cuffs to stay clear of your drivetrain. A higher back rise keeps you covered in the saddle, while a grippy waistband and full-length adjustable belt with a G-hook and snap closure keep the pants snug and in place.
The two side zipper pockets face backward for easy access in the saddle. We obsessed over their placement to keep your phone and other essentials from jostling around with every pedal stroke. Two rear zipper pockets and two traditional front hand pockets handle the before-and-after-ride essentials. All six are lined with thin, stretchy mesh to keep them light, breathable and quick to dry.
Laser-cut ventilation at the crotch, above the rear pockets and behind the knees lets air flow where you actually need it. And a couple of accessory loops, one up front and one out back, give you a place to hang your sunglasses or keys.
And if you damage them, we’ll repair them for free, for life.

Wash / Care Instructions
These pants are built to get dirty. When it’s time for a wash, empty the pockets, close the zippers, and wash inside out in cold water with like colors.
Use a mild detergent and skip fabric softener. Hang dry to help preserve the fabric’s stretch and extend the life of the pants. You don’t need to baby them, but a little basic care will keep them in the riding rotation longer.

Well these ones are! First off, perfect fit. Extremely comfortable for all day riding and they feel like they are going to hold up when mistakes are made. They look great and my wife actually said the junk looks good in them too. That made me laugh so I thought I would pass that along. If there was one thing I would add/change is the addition of zippers at the ankle so I don’t have to drop trou to put on knee pads. With all of the thoughtful details that these pants have, this is the only thing I feel is missing. I will be purchasing more of these.

These pants fit really well and are super comfortable. The material is lightweight and feels great whether I’m mountain biking, running errands, or just lounging around.
One of my favorite improvements is the added belt loop that keeps the excess strap from hanging loose. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference and gives the pants a much cleaner fit. I also like the improved D-ring/accessory loop. It feels more useful and better thought out than before.
They’re comfortable enough for everyday wear but still feel made for riding. They don’t feel bulky or restrictive, and there’s plenty of freedom of movement on the bike. Overall, they’re a really versatile pair of MTB pants that I can see myself wearing even when I’m not riding.
Love the pants! Not your typical first adventure, I wore them to the Peach Bowl semi-final FBS football game. They were perfect for tailgating, walking, sitting and cheering. I’m sure they’ll handle the trails with ease.
As soon as I had tried on my first pair of skid mark shorts last august(2024) I immediately emailed the team at Ketl for the anticipated arrival date of a possible pant and was told that it was somewhere in the works. The day that I saw that the pants were available they were on order and immediately put to the test a week later at a pair of bike park accidents. With 2 accidents on rocks and logs, the pants show no sign of damage. Both my helmet, Jersey and pride were toast but the pants held up with obvious signs of impact noted from smudges and transfers from the trail. If another color becomes available, I will strongly consider getting a second pair.

I’m 6’5 and a 38” inseam so it’s always hard to find Mtb pants. I was a little skeptical seeing the 31 inch inseam in the sizing but turns out the fit is actually really good. The tapered fit is really nice and keeps the pants from riding up your calves staying in place and staying out of the drivetrain. Breathable and durable materials. First ride was in Hot Springs Arkansas this weekend with highs of 65 and sunny and the pants were not too hot.

Top of my favorite pants. I have only had these for two weeks but I have three pairs of MTB pants from different companies and these are my favorites.
So far they fit well and look nice. I ahve not had a chance to ride in them yet.
Lightweight, stretchy, but very strong. Took them out for a spin at the Glen Park, PA enduro trails and they felt awesome. Plenty of room for knee pads, great fit, and I love the attached belt. Will be purchasing the other colors in the future.
