The Skid Mark MTB Shorts were built by riders who were tired of compromise.
Soft, stretchy, breathable, and built for everyday trail riding with a clean feel that doesn’t look or sound overly technical.
Slim enough to avoid saddle snags, roomy enough for knee pads, with extended front coverage and a higher back rise with a grippy waistband to keep everything in place.
A built in belt with G hook and snap closure lets you fine tune the fit whether you are mid ride or a few beers deep after.
Pocketing is dialed. Rear facing zip pockets are easy to access on the bike and eliminate bounce while pedaling. Rear zip pockets keep essentials secure off the bike, and front hand pockets keep things casual before and after the ride. All mesh lined to stay light, breathable, and fast drying.
Laser cut ventilation at the crotch plus our infamous arse steam release tech dump heat where it matters most.

I ordered the Cordura Pro shorts and after one test ride I was sold. Comfortable, durable, and they just fit well and look good while riding local trails or relaxing after. These shorts are literally the best. I am logging hundreds of miles on my bike and these are the only shorts I wear, even in the Texas heat. I bought a grey and black pair. The pockets and zippers are the perfect size to hold the things you need. They stretch, they breathe, they dry out quickly. These are the only mtb shorts I will be wearing.
Great shorts really top notch. Have a pair of Stios and these have more features and thoughtful add ons (also less expensive). Would buy again.
I was a bit skeptical when buying these, but they really deserve the praise! The fastening system lets you get a precise fit in the waist, the silicone material does a proper job of preventing crack exposure, and the pockets just work. Fit is solid when wearing Fox kneepads, and no swishing when pedaling (unlike some of my previous pairs of MTB shorts). Breathable, comfy, good features. Can’t ask for much else
These shorts are great! I’ve worn them on multiple rides in the front range of the Rockies in the summer heat. They fit great, dry super fast and have the perfect amount of stretch. The feature that I like the best are the two vertical zipped thigh pockets. They fit my iPhone 14Pro perfectly. I find I have to tap my phone to make sure it’s still there. If there is anything I would change, I would make the waist not ride so high. A slightly shorter waist, less between the crotch and waistline. Otherwise perfect.

My all-time favorite mtb riding shorts. I have both colors grey and brown as well the padded riding shorts underneath. The fit and design are great and well thought out by somebody who obviously mountain bikes. So good, I purchased a pair for my son too.
Very impressed with these shorts. The fit is athletic without being restrictive, and the Cordura Pro fabric feels tough enough for trail riding while remaining comfortable. The quality and attention to detail are excellent, and they've exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be buying more KETL gear in the future.
You don't need a mountain bike to love these shorts! I love the style and length. I could use a small media pocket like in the Shenanigan Outdoor Pants, but that's about it. Thanks Ketl for being a truly respectable brand.

I’m wondering if these shorts might work for waterskiing? They seem like they fit closer to your legs so less likely to balloon up? In skiing we do a deep water start at least 6 times in a six run set, Lol if we don’t fall. Do these drain and dry quickly?

I’ve never tried using the Skid Mark MTB shorts for waterskiing, but it’s an interesting idea! They do have a closer fit, so they might reduce the ballooning effect you’re trying to avoid. As for draining and drying, they aren't specifically designed for water sports, but the fabric is lightweight and breathable, so they might drain reasonably well. That said, they may not dry as quickly as boardshorts or gear made specifically for water activities.
If you give them a try, I’d love to hear how they perform—sounds like a cool experiment!
