Coolweather Merino Wool Cushioned Socks

I’ve been riding in the cold weather this year a lot more and have been getting tired of my feet feeling like numb bricks when I get done. Same shoes but swap to these socks, game changer. Your feet stay dry and thus don’t get the damp cold feeling once you get hot or sweat a little. Even wearing them around the house when it’s super cold you can notice a huge difference between these and your normal (for me Nike Dry-Fit ) socks. I’ll be getting more for sure

While they are the coolweather socks, they also function as a great cushionned sock for athletics that doesn't over heat!

I got the cold weather sock as a gift and was very excited to try them. However when I wore/rode with them I noticed a couple issues.

1. They are very large, I wear a 10.5-11 men's shoe, when I put on these socks the heel of the sock goes about 2 inches up my Achilles Tendon. This is not yanking them on, just putting them on normally so there is no bunching. If I slide the heel down to where it is supposed to be I get bunching in the mid shoe area.
2. The socks are vey thick around the toe area so make normally fitting shoes very snug in the toe box to the point that it is uncomfortable. For reference the shoe is a 5 Ten Freerider Pro so not an aggressive race shoe. (I have not had this issue with other cold weather socks.)

On the positive side the socks are warm as intended. This sock would be good for someone in the shoesize 12 and up but I wouldn't recommend for someone in a shoesize less than 11.
