I need more

I've always just worn any old pair of socks mountain biking and then I decided to pick up a pair of these. They feel great. I'll definitely be buying a few more pair.

Great everywhere socks

I’ve owned several brands of merino wool socks and these are some of my favorites. Just thick enough to keep my feet warm but never got too sweaty. Used them on multiple bike rides, hikes, and no complaints.

Works as advertised lol

For starters, I have not used wool socks ever, so the material is new to me but I liked it(for the most part). The Fairweather’s are definitely more odor resistent than typical socks and I can actually take my shoes off on the ride home without making the car stink. They are comfortable in my MTB flat pedal shoes(typically Vans), but I have not done extensive walks in them. I ride in california, so conditions are typically dry and I cannot speak for their reaction to being wet, only sweaty. I wear the fairweathers in temps anywhere from about 55 to 70 degrees, thats the sweet spot for this specific thickness imo. The padding is nice but they do run a bit large, my feet are size 10.5 and the sock has a little bit of excess material between my toes and the heel pad. Nothing major that creates flaps or anything, they just end up fitting a little less snug over the main section of my foot than im used to, however with shoes on I barely notice it. The stitching is well done and doesnt create any irritating seams for my feet. When I pull them up my calves, which are fairly slim, they have a nice hugging fit, but aren’t too tight. The only thing I dislike is the fuzzy fabric. I think it is a characteristic of the fabric composition, but there are definitely a good amount of fuzzy strands coating the socks, but they are still attached to the sock and it’s not at all a recipe for them falling off in the washer or dryer. However, this fuzzy exterior is definitely not a deal breaker with all the other great aspects of these socks.
