Nofry Sun Hoodie

My wife and I wore these on a cross country bike tour and they saved us from the sun. Very breathable, light, and quick drying. We'd put the hood up under our helmet and you barely even notice it's there. I continued wearing it regularly for sun protection after completing the trip. My slate shirt got a bit dirty, so if that's a concern I'd stick to the darker colors.

I do wish they made a slim fit version. I'm 6' / 150 lbs, so I land between the S and M. I tried both and probably should have gone with the M but I went with S. The sleeve length and body width were fine but the body was a bit shorter than I'd like.

I purchased this in the off-season so I can’t speak to its performance in anything over 70 degree weather. I can; however, attest to its comfort. This is incredibly soft and comfortable to wear, including while sweating under high intensity hiking. I am hopeful for its performance during summer as it is super light, the wind comes right through, and it helps cool me (albeit not yet tested in hot weather). I knocked off a star in the rating because, as I have seen others mention, I am concerned about its durability. Even during normal hiking, if I brush past bushes or trees it can get caught and pull some threads out. It does feel quite fragile and while I am comforted by the repair warranty, I wish it weren’t so easy to snag.

Honestly, the NoFry hoodie is great! I’ve only used mine twice, and i felt the coolest I’ve felt wearing a shirt… ever. It is extremely lightweight and breathable! 2 potential drawbacks, it may catch a bit of smell, and I’m a bit concerned about the durability (although it looks perfect right now!). I write this review as I am about to purchase 2 more. Tight athletic fit. I guess size up if you want it loose or have a belly. So, yea. Love em!

Been wearing the Nofry in Madagascar daily for the past 2 weeks and thought I finally write a review. I love the quick drying after sweating through it all day. The fabric is soft and light weight. I wash it in cold water, ring it out, and let it air dry over night and ready to wear again in the morning. I love the protection from the sun and the hoodie stays put.
The not so good. Its fabric frays a lot. If it gets caught on a branch while going through bushes, laying on anything abrasive and the threads would come undone. I’ve had to use nail clippers to cut the threads so it doesn’t pull out more. If there’s a way to prevent it, it be perfect! Other than the fraying, the shirt has held up quit well. Great job designing this!

I got this near the end of the summer season, so i can't comment on durability yet. It's super breathable on hot days and works well as a base layer during the winter.
