The magic is in the near weightless fabric. Our NoFry Sun Hoodie (Four Snap) weighs in at only 114g in a size medium. 69g for the short sleeve and 87g for the long sleeve. The fabric itself comes in at just 79gsm.
The thin, breathable fabric allows the shirts to pack down incredibly small & feel weightless on the body. Ideal for adventure travel or any long day in the sun.
These shirts dry incredibly fast and wick moisture making them perfect for every possible outdoor activity and making it easy to rinse and hang dry when needed.
Topped off with discrete thumb holes on the long sleeve and hoodie versions to keep the sun off your hands and the sleeves in place on windy days.

Fabric Details
Crafted from a unique, high-performance grid-knit poly (79gsm). It’s lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, with a subtle texture that boosts airflow and comfort.
Soft, stretchy, comfortable and designed for sun-soaked missions when the heat’s on the sun is sharp.
Anti-odor control from HeiQ Mint. The gold standard in the outdoor industry for plant based, effective odor control on performance fabrics.
Because this fabric is intentionally built to feel extremely light and airy, it should be treated with a little more care than heavier fabrics. Avoid direct contact with Velcro, sharp edges, and abrasive surfaces to help prevent snags or pilling.

Wash / Care Instructions
To extend the life of this ultralight fabric, wash inside out and avoid washing with Velcro, open zippers, or anything abrasive that could snag or pill the fabric.
You don’t need to baby it, but because NoFry is intentionally built to feel nearly weightless and breathable, it deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics.
Hang dry when you can to help maintain the soft, barely-there feel.

I purchased two four button shirts. We used them on a four day backpacking trip near Aspen Colorado in August. We had 100% sun and temps were in the mid 80’s. It was very hot in the sun. I can’t say enough about these shirts. Super light weight, a great hood that fit over a baseball hat. I didn’t use them the first day and my forearms and neck were burned. I used them the next 3 days. They did an awesome job of keeping the hot sun off our necks and arms. Having the backpack on the four buttons were great to dump extra heat as well. My wife’s opinion the shirts run on the large size for women. She would LOVE to see a woman’s specific size and color. Don’t be on the fence, they are worth the money.
Super light, dries fast. Awesome for hot days and exposed trails. Very fragile. Pacific Northwest hikers be aware overgrown trails wil ruin this hoody.
I don’t normally leave reviews… but I took a gnarly fall while trail running and I was wearing this shirt. I was super torn up, but the shirt wasn’t and all the blood came out. Very surprised given how lightweight it is! Sun protection is also awesome.

Love it! Got 2. Lightweight and exactly as described. Might run a bit snug in the gut if you’re more “husky” but wanted something that gave protection from the sun while also not cooking myself. Perfect!
The most breathable shirt I've ever hiked in! The cloud color reflected heat well and kept me cooler that without a shirt on. Spraying a little water on the material made for great evaporative cooling. I swam in this shirt and it even felt great in the water. Around a 30-45 min dry time when hanging.
I LOVE this hoodie. I tend to overheat and find sun shirts in general to feel stifling. This one changed the game. It's so light and airy. I love the colors. And it's extremely lightweight and packable. Someone recommended it to me on the JMT and I'm never going back. That said, the hood does fly off like others have said in a good breeze but I just put it under my visor. Nbd.

I absolutely love this shirt. Wore it to Mesa Verde in the summer, to the beach, around the house. Surprise benefit: keeping the sun off my arm while driving on long road trips. But keep expectations real: short sleeves are always cooler than long sleeves—regardless of the fabric. But if you hate to put on sunscreen, this shirt is a win.

Love, love, love my Four-Snap NoFry Sun Hoodie. I wore it nearly everyday on a recent week-long camping & hiking trip in Yellowstone & Grand Tetons. The hype is REAL! The fabric is amazingly lightweight & breathable, feels great against the skin, and the shirt kept me cool and protected from the strong UV rays at altitude. I plan to buy the One-Snap version just to have a second option to wear!
I did a lot of research on other brands before purchasing this one, just to confirm my initial suspicions that Ketl's product would fit the bill better than the others, and I was NOT disappointed. I would 100% recommend this shirt.

Great Sun Hoodie
It’s my new everyday shirt. I originally bought this shirt for work, but now I wear it everywhere. I love how “airy” it feels, and very comfortable. It is now my favorite shirt.
Tried a few sun hoodies and this was definitely the most comfortable by a distance. Very light and breathable. Took it hiking in the sun over the weekend and it felt great. Was initially wary of wearing a long sleeve in the sun as I can get warm quickly but the four snaps helped. 100% would recommend if you want lightweight without missing out on protection

We don’t yet offer a women-specific cut, but the design is fully unisex and works great on all body types. If you prefer a more tailored fit, you might try sizing down (or compare your measurements to our size chart) to get the look you like.
