A sun hoodie only works if you actually want to keep wearing it. That’s why we set out to make the absolute lightest sun hoodie on the market. Featherweight fabric, incredible breathability, and a barely-there feel for long days in brutal sun.
The magic starts with our proprietary NoFry fabric. A 79gsm featherweight grid knit we developed to let air move through while still providing UPF 30+ sun protection. It has a soft, silky feel without looking shiny or overly technical.
The One-Snap keeps things clean, minimal, and as lightweight as possible. The entire hoodie weighs just 104g in a size medium and packs down incredibly small. A perfectly placed single snap at the hood opening will keep the hood in place in the wind and not blow off.
The hood is large enough to fit over a hat, but the fabric is thin enough to comfortably fit under a hat or helmet as well. Discreet thumbholes help keep the sleeves in place and add sun coverage over the backs of your hands.
The fabric wicks moisture and dries incredibly fast, making it easy to rinse and hang dry when you’re traveling. Ideal for adventure travel, long hikes, paddling, or just about anything you’re doing outside in the blazing sun.

That featherweight feel deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics. You don’t need to baby it, but avoid direct contact with Velcro, sharp edges, and abrasive surfaces to help prevent snags or pilling.

Wash / Care Instructions
To extend the life of this ultralight fabric, wash inside out and avoid washing with Velcro, open zippers, or anything abrasive that could snag or pill the fabric.
You don’t need to baby it, but because NoFry is intentionally built to feel nearly weightless and breathable, it deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics.
Hang dry when you can to help maintain the soft, barely-there feel.

Pair It With
Doesn't smell when it gets wet, is lightweight and breathable. I ordered a size up because I prefer a looser fit and it fits perfectly. Took it for a test ride while there's a heat wave in California and it passed with flying colors.
The thumb holes and wrist opening fit fine for me, though I'm a bit worried the stitching may come undone over time, so I'll be careful when switching between them.
Only improvements additions I can think of are maybe making the wrist or thumb holes elastic and offering a version with a pocket. Otherwise, it's definitely the best sun hoodie out there.
I'll most likely pick up more colors or get them as functional gifts for sure.
Feels like my own set of Mithril from Middle Earth! Been wearing this both indoors and outdoors. Living in the high desert sun, it definitely helps when putting out the laundry and doing yard work. Hoping to try it out paddle boarding sometime. Also cleans really nice!

I’m 71 and returning to the running life after a CABG and TKR. I own a couple of other sun hoodies and I thought they were good. But when this kettle no fry arrived, I put it on and took a run on a 90° afternoon in the Sierra foothills. This 4 snap shirt was amazing! It only took me one run to know that this hoodie is exactly what I have been looking for on my runs and hikes. Absolutely great product!
I’ve worn a lot of sun shirts, and this has become my go-to for long days on the mountain bike. I’ve worn it on 50+ mile rides where I’m out in the sun for hours, and the biggest difference is how light and breathable it feels.
A lot of sun shirts protect you from the sun but leave you feeling hot and clammy once you start sweating. This one is noticeably thinner and breathes well enough that I don’t feel like I’m wearing a wet layer all day.
I also love the hood. It’s roomy enough that I can go full goober mode and pull it right over my helmet when I want maximum sun coverage. It looks ridiculous, works incredibly well, and I’m completely fine with that.
The fit is comfortable on the bike, it doesn’t feel restrictive while riding, and the extra coverage means I’m not constantly thinking about reapplying sunscreen to my arms, neck, and ears

I've tested and used 15+ sun hoodies in over 11K miles of hiking. This is by far the best - lightweight, breathable, and partial button down with a large hood! I had to size up, so the sleeves are a little long. Other than that it is perfect. I wish it weren't athletic cut but that's just personal preference.

I really like this shirt, feels great in the sun, light and wicks sweat away easily. The did show some wear after only one weekend on the trail, though. Nonetheless, I would buy another one of these shirts.

I thought the single snap NoFry Hoodie was perfection, until I tried the 4 snap. I have never felt such cool comfort while hiking in the sun. Tested in Wyoming, Utah and North Carolina, it's amazing in dry and humid environments. I will be living in these shirts for many warm seasons to come
SoCal ain't cloudy or chilly. My tender epidermis needs pro. This light, coolness inducer is totally groovy, man. Seriously: hike up a steep hill for an hour and see. Fits under cap and helmet. No slathering UV cream. Get it a size larger to cover wrists when cycling. I'm skinny and go with medium or large. Got five of these on rotation cuz you can't wear them twice (the stink). Best on the market. Buy, buy, buy.
