The Pika Alpine Pants were built for the longest & gnarliest of outdoor pursuits. We refined them over years of testing in multi-day adventure races to make sure they were insanely durable, packed with just the right features and perform in and out of water.

Features & Specs
- Fabric: 4-way stretch woven CORDURA®, near indestructible, thin, light, breathable & highly abrasion resistant
- Performance (wet/dry): Moves without restriction, wet or dry, whether you are running, hiking, climbing in a harness, riding, or getting in and out of a kayak
- Fit: Alpine cut with articulated knees & a gusseted crotch for all-day comfort
- Pockets (5 zips): 2 front (fast-dry mesh bags), 2 rear, 1 belay-accessible thigh zip (harness compatible)
- Waistband: Zip fly, low profile snap w/ G-hook, full-length internal belt for a 360° cinch and a no-slip silicone grip band inside
- Gaiter Cuffs: Built-in gaiter with adjustable cinch and lace hook to keep debris out of your shoes
- Utility: Accessory loops front and back for sunglasses or keys
How We Use These
Every piece of KETL gear starts with our own specific use case. The Pika Alpine Pants were built by me (Jeff) and Dominic after four years of getting deep into adventure racing. These events run for multiple days, non-stop, with little sleep and constant transitions: trail running, mountain biking, climbing in a harness, pack rafting or kayaking, and navigating only by map and compass. We needed a single pair of pants we could wear for the entire race.
We worked with CORDURA® to craft the perfect stretch-woven fabric that stays light when soaked, dries extremely fast, resists abrasion, and still moves comfortably in any condition, wet or dry. The no-slip waist uses a snap, G-hook, and full internal belt to stay secure as the hours stack up. The thigh zip pocket is reachable in a harness and, like the others, uses fast-dry mesh so it does not hold water. The built-in gaiter cuffs cinch with a lace hook to keep crap out of your shoes. Small touches like front and rear accessory loops let us hang sunglasses or a Garmin InReach.
The magic really is in the fabric and its durability to survive an adventure race, be comfortable to wear for multiple days on end and stretchy enough to run, hike, ride and climb in. The fit, details and features are icing on the cake.

Insanely Versatile
These are fantastically durable, versatile pants that are for more than just the mountains. I use these on my trail maintenance days, bushwhacking hikes, long rides through overgrowth on the bike, and they still look good as new. They're comfortable and casual enough with a great cut that works for an everyday pant, or even going out to meet the boys from some beers after work.

Finally Excited For The Cold
With Colder Temps coming, I finally got out in these for a bike, scramble, and run! These pants are some of the best technical pants I've been able to use, they fit very true to waist size in my size small and they look damn good. The fabric keeps some warmth in without making you drown in sweat.
