The Pika Alpine Pants were built for the longest & gnarliest of outdoor pursuits. We refined them over years of testing in multi-day adventure races to make sure they were insanely durable, packed with just the right features and perform in and out of water.

- Pockets (5 zips): 2 front (fast-dry mesh bags), 2 rear, 1 belay-accessible thigh zip (harness compatible)
- Waistband: Zip fly, low profile snap w/ G-hook, full-length internal belt for a 360° cinch and a no-slip silicone grip band inside
- Gaiter Cuffs: Built-in gaiter with adjustable cinch and lace hook to keep debris out of your shoes

How We Use These
Every piece of KETL gear starts with our own specific use case. The Pika Alpine Pants were built by me (Jeff) and Dominic after four years of getting deep into adventure racing. These events run for multiple days, non-stop, with little sleep and constant transitions: trail running, mountain biking, climbing in a harness, pack rafting or kayaking, and navigating only by map and compass. We needed a single pair of pants we could wear for the entire race.
We worked with CORDURA® to craft the perfect stretch-woven fabric that stays light when soaked, dries extremely fast, resists abrasion, and still moves comfortably in any condition, wet or dry. The no-slip waist uses a snap, G-hook, and full internal belt to stay secure as the hours stack up. The thigh zip pocket is reachable in a harness and, like the others, uses fast-dry mesh so it does not hold water. The built-in gaiter cuffs cinch with a lace hook to keep crap out of your shoes. Small touches like front and rear accessory loops let us hang sunglasses or a Garmin InReach.
The magic really is in the fabric and its durability to survive an adventure race, be comfortable to wear for multiple days on end and stretchy enough to run, hike, ride and climb in. The fit, details and features are icing on the cake.

Insanely Versatile
These are fantastically durable, versatile pants that are for more than just the mountains. I use these on my trail maintenance days, bushwhacking hikes, long rides through overgrowth on the bike, and they still look good as new. They're comfortable and casual enough with a great cut that works for an everyday pant, or even going out to meet the boys from some beers after work.

Finally Excited For The Cold
With Colder Temps coming, I finally got out in these for a bike, scramble, and run! These pants are some of the best technical pants I've been able to use, they fit very true to waist size in my size small and they look damn good. The fabric keeps some warmth in without making you drown in sweat.

Pair It With
I used these for winter canyoneering. These pants have held up in the harsh environment with minimal wear and only a couple small holes. Great quality, amazing durability!
These might be the ultimate outdoor technical pant. As soon as you put them on, you can feel the material is meant to withstand the elements. The material is light yet you can feel the tensile strength is very high and extremely stretchy allowing for complete range of motion. Love the gaiter cuffs; those will come in very handy.
My biggest fear is that I can't live up to the potential of these pants. But I'm going to try.
These pants are ideal for snow hiking adventures. I paired them with my Scarpa boots and Grivel crampons, and they fit perfectly. Even in areas with deep snow, the pants stayed securely around the ankle, thanks to the elastic band at the rim. My only suggestion is to make them larger in the thighs, as I have big thighs (27.5 inches - 70 cm), and they are somewhat tight in that area. The pants might loosen over time with wear, but it would take some time. Overall, I highly recommend these pants. They are well-made, and the pockets and zippers are excellent.
Great pants. I have worn them twice hiking up our local ski area trail 1700 feet in 1.7 miles. Did notice the pants at all(high praise). Stayed in place around the waist and moved well with the ascent and descent. My only small haggle. The thigh pocket is too small for my regular sized iPhone. I weigh 153lbs, 5’9” size medium fit great

Great climbing pants and they work well with a climbing harness. Love them.
The pants are nice and flexible when hiking over rock structures. While hiking in 0 degree weather they were very comfortable to wear without long johns and very comfortable in 40 degree weather.
The pants fit very well. I love the stretch — it’s a great material and very comfortable. I was worried about the length because it’s 32, and I usually wear 30, but it fits perfectly.
I only have two small suggestions. First, the back pocket zipper is a little small. I would prefer if it opened a bit wider. Second, the material is not ideal for winter or very cold weather.

Ordered wrong size, my fault, but the return process to get the right size was very easy and quick! Thanks for that. Pants are very comfy. Pocket on thigh requires phone to be more horizontal but I don’t believe it’s supposed to be a phone pocket but it’s what I use it for. Overall very happy with Ketl products

Just what i was looking for!
These pants are absolutely everything I want in a hiking pant except for the length. Why aren’t they made to order in different lengths like the other kinds? A 34 inch inseam would be amazing. I want a pair of these so bad and it killed me to return the pair I ordered. They also fit tighter in every aspect than the shenanigans do.

Was worried that an XL fit would be a problem: the size chart providing guidance was accurate. The pant is comfortable and provides room to maneuver during hikes with boulders in the path. I am very happy and would purchase again.
