The mission with the Skid Mark mountain bike shorts was to nail all the useful features you’d want on the bike, tailored with a mountain bike specific fit and a durable fabric that’s stretchy, comfy and lacks swooshy’ness. We went with a progressive fit that’s not too loose, nor too tight, preventing your shorts from getting caught on your saddle. The length and cut is perfect to cover knee pads while the higher back rise on the waist prevents plumbers crack while seated. Packed with more useful features like two side zipper pockets and two rear zipper pockets, a stretchy waistband with built in belt to dial in the perfect fit, and our not patented at all "arse steam release tech" which is our fancy way of saying we laser cut some holes just below the waistband.

The KETL Mtn Skid Mark MTB Shorts nail the balance between comfort and performance. The fit isn’t too loose or tight, and the stretch keeps them comfortable for riders with larger legs. They pair perfectly with knee pads and never ride up. The fabric feels soft yet tough, showing zero wear after a year. A snap button, built‑in belt, and roomy zip pockets (big enough for an iPhone) make them practical for pack‑free rides. Pockets are easy to access while pedaling. These are my go‑to MTB shorts. I would love a casual‑cut version for everyday wear.

I'm really enjoying these shorts! To be completely honest, I was initially a tad disappointed because at the price point, I was expecting a chamois insert. Second issue I encountered after a few rides was a seam failure. However, the customer support team was very responsive and got me all squared away with a new pair. And I'm loving the fit and the style. Move well on the bike. Look good enough to kick it post-ride off the bike.

Second pair of skid mark shorts

So these are my second pair of skid mark shorts and I am definitely a fan. Will say that this version has a much longer belt loop than the prior pair but I just flipped and tucked it like a woven leather belt on a pair of 90’s Frenchcuffed jeans and was good to go. I will be choosing the $1000 Jeff hand delivery option on my next order….

Good shorts just don’t put them in the dryer

I’ve had these for over a year and they still look new. I’ve had other mtb shirts that costed more that could not hold up as well as these. My only complaint it they seem to have shrunk after many wash/dry cycles. No I didn’t get fat.
