Some other notes... There is a tracker inside the Golden Case & the actual Golden Jar. Once someone finds the Golden Case the game is basically over because the Golden Case being claimed means the Golden Jar will be claimed by the same person as the only way to get the jar is to get the case first. So as soon as we know the case is found, we will mark it as claimed here and the hunt for these things will be over.

Easy, Medium & Hard are relative—not a promise of a safe or quick outing. Bring extra food & water, offline maps, appropriate clothing & a satellite SOS device. Expect little to no cell service. Go with a buddy, set a firm turn-back time & leave plenty of daylight.

One Easy, Medium or Hard jar per person or hunting party, plus the Golden Jar—in either order. Found your standard jar? Leave the others for the next hunter.

We update this page as finds are reported & confirmed. “Not Claimed” means we haven’t confirmed a find yet—not a guarantee the jar is still there. Someone may have beaten you to it and still be hiking back to cell service.

Once a find is confirmed, we’ll mark that jar “Claimed.”

You might also be in the wrong spot. Treasure hunting comes with no guarantees, but a day outside is still a pretty good consolation prize.

By viewing clues, searching for, or attempting to recover any KETL Mtn. Treasure Hunt jar or the Golden Case, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation is completely voluntary and undertaken entirely at your own risk.

Outdoor recreation can be dangerous. Risks may include, but are not limited to, falls, heat illness, dehydration, exhaustion, wildlife encounters, unstable terrain, weather changes, navigation errors, lack of cell service, delayed rescue, injury, property loss, or death.

You are solely responsible for your own safety, preparation, fitness, route choices, equipment, navigation, transportation, and decision-making. 

Bring appropriate water, food, clothing, footwear, navigation tools, sun protection, lighting, first-aid supplies, emergency communication, and overnight equipment if your route may require camping or an unplanned night out. Do not attempt long, remote, or overnight routes unless you have the experience, fitness, gear, and conditions to do so safely.

Do not search at night. Do not enter private property. Do not enter closed, restricted, hazardous, or prohibited areas. Do not violate any federal, state, local, park, forest, wilderness, or land-management rules.

Do not climb unsafe terrain, cross dangerous water, damage vegetation, disturb wildlife, move rocks or natural features in a destructive way. Some containers may require minor surface-level uncovering only where the clue or video makes the location obvious. If you are tearing up the ground, guessing, or creating visible impact, stop immediately.

No treasure jar is worth risking your safety. If a route, location, weather condition, or situation feels unsafe, stop immediately and turn around.

Participants are responsible for knowing and following all applicable laws, regulations, trail rules, parking rules, permit requirements, fire restrictions, and land-use restrictions.

KETL Mtn. does not guarantee that any jar will be found, that any clue will remain current, that any route will be safe or passable, or that any reward will remain available at the time of your search.

KETL Mtn. Treasure Hunt Basic Rules

No purchase necessary. Participation is free and voluntary.

Participants must be 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Treasure jars are hidden on publicly accessible land, but participants are responsible for following all applicable laws, closures, permits, posted rules, parking rules, trail rules, and land-use restrictions.

Do not trespass, enter closed or restricted areas, damage property, disturb wildlife, excavate, or alter natural features while searching. Minor surface-level uncovering may be needed for some containers, but only where the clue or video clearly indicates the exact spot. Leave the area as you found it.

One Easy, Medium or Hard jar total per person or hunting party for Edition 7. A party shares that limit. You may also claim the Golden Jar—in either order. Honor system. Leave some adventure for the next hunter.

Each jar may only be claimed once, by the first eligible person or party to legitimately find and claim it.

Rewards have no cash alternative beyond what is included in the jar. Gift cards are subject to KETL Mtn.’s normal gift card terms.

Participants are responsible for any travel costs, parking fees, taxes, injuries, losses, or other expenses connected to participation.

KETL Mtn. may modify, pause, cancel, relocate, or end the treasure hunt at any time for safety, legal, land access, weather, fire restriction, or operational reasons.

By participating, you agree to the safety disclaimer above and accept full responsibility for your actions.

Found your jar or the Golden Case? Hell yes. Take the container & everything inside home. It’s all yours to keep. Pack it all out & leave no trace.

Every jar has a UGREEN tracker. Once you notify us, we’ll promptly remove it from our Find My. After it’s removed, reset it & keep it for your own adventures. Your gift card code is on the card inside the jar.
