Astonishingly featherweight fabric that the air blows right through. UPF 30+ sun protection with a soft, silky feel, so you can keep your skin protected and yourself cool.
The magic is in our proprietary NoFry fabric. The fabric itself weighs just 79gsm, and the entire Four-Snap hoodie comes in at only 114g in a size medium. It packs down incredibly small and feels nearly weightless on your body.
Four snaps up front let you dump heat and increase airflow when you’re working hard. Discreet thumbholes keep the sleeves in place on windy days and add sun coverage over the backs of your hands.
The fabric wicks moisture and dries incredibly fast, making it easy to rinse and hang dry when you’re traveling. Ideal for exposed hikes, long days on the water, and adventure travel where you’d rather pack less and do more.

Made from our proprietary NoFry grid-knit fabric: 100% recycled poly at just 79gsm. Soft, silky, and stretchy, with a subtle grid texture that lets air move right through.
The fabric wicks moisture and dries incredibly fast. Plant-based odor control from HeiQ Mint helps keep the stink in check between washes.
That featherweight feel deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics. You don’t need to baby it, but avoid direct contact with Velcro, sharp edges, and abrasive surfaces to help prevent snags or pilling.

Wash / Care Instructions
To extend the life of this ultralight fabric, wash inside out and avoid washing with Velcro, open zippers, or anything abrasive that could snag or pill the fabric.
You don’t need to baby it, but because NoFry is intentionally built to feel nearly weightless and breathable, it deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics.
Hang dry when you can to help maintain the soft, barely-there feel.

I have the four snap long sleeve and the short sleeve t shirt and could not have a better opinion. Insanely light weight, super breathable, dries fast in the field and with a rinse in the creek at the end of the day I have used them for four days straight and no stink. I also appreciate the XXXL size for us guys who just never stopped growing! I'll be getting more.
Light weight and great fit.
I ordered the shirt because the ad said it was lighter and cooler than most hoodies. The snaps make it a bit more elegant than most pullons.
I purchased it for a college football game, one which set the heat record for the stadium. Kick off 11:00.
It worked as advertised. The shirt kept me cool and looking fresh through the game and into dinner afterwards.
Three days later I took it to Phoenix for a conference at a resort. Temps over 105F. Looked sharp and cool there as well.

Very breathable with great sun protection. I have the OR Crater lake hoodie sun shirt as well. This one is more breathable which for a runner in hot climates matters a lot.
Super thin waffle material that's slightly see through in a good way. You can wear it when it's super hot. This is my hack for not using sunscreen. It keeps my arms and neck sun free. I love it and would highly recommend.
This sun hoodie was worn throughout my entire 5 day backpacking trip in the Grand Tetons. The hoodie was super comfortable, kept me cool in the sun for hours, and loved how it looked. Love the options of opening up the buttons if needed and the hood stayed on during windy conditions.
In terms of sizing, I 5'8" and 165 lbs. I am always between a small and medium which makes it tricky pulling the trigger on a size. Since the medium was sold out, I was forced into buying a size small which honestly worked out perfectly.

I love my No Fry Hoodie Four Snap. I wear it for sun protection, whether I'm day hiking, or pulling weeds in the garden, or volunteering at the NorCal Resist Seeds of Solidarity urban farm in Sacramento. It's light. I do not usually wear hoodies, but I use the NoFry Hoodie with a hat for the sun protection. I even use the slits to protect my hand from the sun. If it had a pocket, I'd also consider it for backpacking because I need a shirt pocket for backpacking.

Absolutely love this shirt. The buttons make the biggest difference between this and my OR echo hoodie. It does help you stay cooler when it’s hotter out.
We visited Rome and Athens in August 2026. Both cities reached 38ºC every day, and we were in the sun a lot. Instead of putting on sunblock on my arms and feeling sticky, and carrying a hat, I wore the NoFry Sun Hoodie. It worked out so well. I simply washed it in the shower every night, and it dried in the morning. Because of it, I did not wear four of the polo/T-shirts I packed. I also wore it on the long-haul flight. It felt like pajamas, and the long sleeves did not let the dry airplane air dry out the skin (of my arms).
Just took this backpacking on the TCT Catalina island and it held up great! Very breathable and light.
