The magic is in the near weightless fabric. Our NoFry Sun Shirt weighs in at only 81g in a size medium. 105g for the long sleeve and 118g for the hoodie. The fabric itself comes in at just 79gsm.
The thin, breathable fabric allows the shirts to pack down incredibly small & feel weightless on the body. Ideal for adventure travel or any long day in the sun.
These shirts dry incredibly fast and wick moisture making them perfect for every possible outdoor activity and making it easy to rinse and hang dry when needed.

Wanted something light weight and comfortable- it is both. Will more than likely order another.
I now have 5 of these shirts, pretty much all the colors. These are the lightest shirts I’ve ever worn. They are perfect for one pack travel or minimalist camping. 5 of these weigh less than one heavy duty carhartt shirt. Their fit is just right, sleeves are not too short or too tight and the stretch keeps you comfortable for most activities. They don’t get 5 stars, however, since after one to two washes, there’s some loose threads or fraying happening and it’s not in the seams. I wash these in delicate cycle because of how thin it is. Hopefully it holds up after more washes. The other reason and perhaps it’s personal preference, but since the material is thin and almost see through, your bits are visible, especially in the lighter colors.
Great quality, works as advertised! However, very pricey
After trying several brands of sun shirts I’ll say that KETL has been the most breathable so far. I tried REI and Poncho, which has been good for sun protection but I would get quite sweaty. I wanted to find something that I wouldn’t sweat in as much. I couldn’t find many online reviews but the website photos showing the material allowing light through when pulled away from the skin, had me interested
I crashed my bike while wearing this shirt. I took a corner too hard, tires slipped out with me sliding across the asphalt on my right arm. The shirt came out virtually unscathed with 3 near invisible snags in the fabric, wish I could say the same about my arm. And yes, the shirt is comfortable, lightweight, black is nice because it isn’t see through, it won’t shrink if you don’t put it in the drier. But I still can’t believe how durable it is. You can clearly see where the shirt protected my arm by where the road rash cuts off. I’m sold. MaybeI’ll try long sleeves this time.
