We set out to make the lightest, most breathable sun shirts on the planet. The NoFry Short Sleeve Sun Shirt weighs just 69g in a size medium. Astonishingly light on your body, incredibly small in your pack, and useful for just about anything you’re doing outside in the heat.
The magic starts with our proprietary NoFry fabric. A 79gsm featherweight grid knit we developed to let air move through while still providing UPF 30+ sun protection. It has a soft, silky feel and plenty of stretch, without looking shiny or overly technical.
That airflow is what makes this such a good trail running shirt. When you’re working hard in the heat, you can actually feel the breeze through the fabric. It wicks moisture and dries incredibly fast, keeping you comfortable through hot trail runs and long climbs with a backpack.
For backpacking and travel, the weight and packability are pretty ridiculous. Three size-medium shirts weigh just 207g combined, and the thin fabric packs down incredibly small. Bring a couple of spares without adding much weight or bulk, or rinse one out and hang it up when you’re traveling.

Made from our proprietary NoFry grid-knit fabric: 100% recycled poly at just 79gsm. Soft, silky, and stretchy, with a subtle grid texture that lets air move right through.
The fabric wicks moisture and dries incredibly fast. Plant-based odor control from HeiQ Mint helps keep the stink in check between washes.
That featherweight feel deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics. You don’t need to baby it, but avoid direct contact with Velcro, sharp edges, and abrasive surfaces to help prevent snags or pilling.

Wash / Care Instructions
To extend the life of this ultralight fabric, wash inside out and avoid washing with Velcro, open zippers, or anything abrasive that could snag or pill the fabric.
You don’t need to baby it, but because NoFry is intentionally built to feel nearly weightless and breathable, it deserves a little more care than heavier fabrics.
Hang dry when you can to help maintain the soft, barely-there feel.

I love this shirt. The most light, comfortable , and breathable shirt I have ever had. Just be aware they get snags easy but they have a lifetime repair so I guess it works out. I have actually tested this out and they do a great job with repairs.
I'm conflicted. I super duper love the fit and thinness of the fabric, except for the fact that it snags super easy. Been on vacation a few weeks this summer and two of my no fry shirts are all snagged up from intermittently using a life jacket. I had bought a third shirt, but after I realized how easy these shirts snag, I haven't wanted to use my third one. I'm hoping that Ketl really does honor their free repair claim.
This shirt is one of my favorite shirts to wear. I like to wear this shirt on hot days because of how light weight it is. It fits great and it’s priced good too.
I have several Ketl shirts and love them. Inexplicably this same size shirt I added fits slightly different in the sleeves and is tighter with less stretch. Only reason I give it 4 not 5 stars.

Lightweight and breathable. I purchased this for a 4 day backpacking trip. It is more comfortable compared to another shirt that felt hot.
For my use case, this shirt is perfect. I'm right at 6'2 and 170lbs with a 42" chest and bought a medium. I love how the shirt length is slightly shorter on the sides than the front and back. It's also super lightweight at 3.1oz, but with that said, the material is very thin, and my chest hair created a bunch of bumps in the fabric. I will be wearing this over a merino wool t-shirt, so not a big deal.
I’m in the sun here a lot on the central coast of California. I like to cover up for protection but most long sleeve shirts make me too warm on sunny days. Girly “sun sleeves” just aren’t my jam. Then I heard about these No Fry shirts and they are exactly what I was looking for. Keeps me cool and covered. Material is soft and comfy. Now I own two - soon to be three.

Love it so far. Washed once and came out great, let it air dry and no wrinkles, dries really fast. I'm 5'6" / 135 lbs and the S fits me perfectly. It's much thinner and cooler than the Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily I have. Feels cool in hot sun and dries fast when coming inside. Did get a few tiny runs/blemishes but I don't care if it looks perfect and the guarantee will be nice if needed down the road.
This is by far the most comfortable, light and smooth fitting and fabric of any sun shirt I’ve bought this summer. That includes better than Patagonia, REI, Arcterix and Lands End.

Everyday runner in the Texas heat. The NoFry sun shirt is exceptional! Loose fit gives plenty of airflow. This shirt breathes! Very light weight. Works even better when wet! Well constructed, fits great (6'1", 150lbs = M. I really love that the sleeve cuffs are open rather than snug against your wrists...more air flow!! Buying. Second!
Definitely the lightest shirt I've owned and I have bought alot of different shirts trying to find this one, I would own more if they stayed in stock. Look forward to getting my hands on a couple more.
