The magic is in the near weightless fabric. Our NoFry Sun Hoodie weighs in at only 118g in a size medium. 81g for the short sleeve and 105g for the long sleeve. The fabric itself comes in at just 79gsm.
The thin, breathable fabric allows the shirts to pack down incredibly small & feel weightless on the body. Ideal for adventure travel or any long day in the sun.
These shirts dry incredibly fast and wick moisture making them perfect for every possible outdoor activity and making it easy to rinse and hang dry when needed.
Topped off with discrete thumb holes on the long sleeve and hoodie versions to keep the sun off your hands and the sleeves in place on windy days.

Big sweaty guy reporting back after a 12 mile out and back overnight trip on Catalina Island. This shirt performed flawlessly! On top of being breathable and odor resistant, it felt great on my skin. Other sun hoodies have that synthetic feeling to them, not this one! Wore it on the hike, went to the beach and wore it again the next day for a full day of hiking and beach activities. Was comfortable the entire time. Worth the price. A+
I think my search for the perfect sun hoodie is over. Took it out on a short three day trip in the sierras. Kept me shaded if not cool in 90 degree heat. Despite lots of sweat and grime it didnt stink as much as my Patagonia or OR echo. Its not quite as light as the latter but the material and fit are much more comfortable and UV coverage is better. This is the one.
The hood stays on even in a mild breeze and the hoodie fits well. I especially like the spf rating for sun protection.
I loooove how thin this is and the buttons. My other sun hoodies are hot around my neck. Also, kudos that the snaps are metal. Compared to my Orvis, Patagonia and North Face Sun hoodies this did run small. I exchanged the medium for a large.
Also, I did get a couple of small snags so watch the bushwhacking and backpack clips. But so far so good.
I love this so much. My only wish is that there was a photo of how big the logo on the right side/back is. I'm going to sew something over there. This is probably the best option out there, but I wish I was aware of the logo size before ordering.
