Astonishingly featherweight fabric that the air blows right through. UPF 30+ sun protection so you’ll never get sunburned.
The magic is in the near weightless fabric. Our NoFry Sun Hoodie weighs in at only 118g in a size medium. 81g for the short sleeve and 105g for the long sleeve. The fabric itself comes in at just 79gsm.
This allows the shirts to pack down incredibly small. Ideal for adventure travel.
These shirts dry incredibly fast and wick moisture making them perfect for every possible outdoor activity and making it easy to rinse and hang dry when needed.
Topped off with discrete thumb holes on the long sleeve and hoodie versions to keep the sun off your hands and the sleeves in place on windy days.

Overall, I really like this hoodie. It protects well from the sun, looks great, and having a hood makes it very functional. I find that most sun hoodies are quite warm in the hot sun but the fabric on this is much lighter so I didn't overheat in the hot direct sun.
I ordered a small and a medium - the medium was too big, and the small fit better but is a very slim fit. Ideally, I would've liked a 'small and-a-half'. Returning the medium was super straightforward.
That said, I found the fabric to be pretty delicate. I took it on a two week trip and wore it a few times but there are already a few threads pulling out of the fabric which was quite disappointing so I'm subtracting a star. If you're planning to wear it under backpack straps or something I don't think this is the hoodie for you.
The hoodie is beyond comfortable and an easy way to avoid a sunburn while staying as cool and breathable as possible. Some of the stitching comes undone easily if you aren’t too careful but some scissors can remove the loose strings.
Have used sun hoodies for years riding for sun and bug protection. Your Nofry with the snap buttons and light weight material makes for perfect hot weather riding. Mountain or gravel.
I’ve used this hoodie for everything you could imagine. As asummer camp director I’ve used it to lifeguard and swim, gardening in 100 degree Arkansas summers, andplaying soccer for over an hour. As a trail runner I use it on my long runs in the same gear.
Easier than sunscreen, as cool as a tank top, great for walks in summer sun.
