Why did you buy this? : lightweight; zippered rear pockets - thought the belt system would be unique (and it surely is)

Great pants, except ......

I really wanted to love these pants - the material is lightweight and the fit
is perfect - however a couple of things kept me from giving them 5 stars;
the belt apparatus just did not work well for me - I would have much preferred traditional belt loops - the belt kept loosening and the pants sagged down so that the back pockets sat about half way down my quads and I ended up literally sitting on whatever was in my pocket (e.g. wallet)- I think belt loops would solve some of that, however the pockets themselves sit too low on the pants ( like on 5-pocket pants/jeans ) instead of higher up on the back end; not sure why pants manufacturers seem to not make the rise a little longer so they could actually sit on the waist instead of below the waist, but that may just be my older guy bias. Other than those couple of issues, the pants look great and I'll continue to wear them and try to use the not-so-great belt system. Thank you..

Why did you buy this? : Looking for some low maintenance hiking/field pants

Good overall, but slim is pretty slim

Pants are quite comfortable overall, but they don’t dry out very quickly. I went with the slim fit as I thought the regular fit would be too baggy, and the slim turned out to be slimmer than I’d like.

The belt is TSA-friendly, but that hook style takes a little getting used to.
